Holy Trinity supports many natural friendship groups which have their own patterns of social activity. Our church aims to link the different networks and congregations together for learning and for celebration. Shared meals are an important part of our fellowship. The most ambitious of these is the annual Christmas Day feast, hosted by our African community, which is a magnificent banquet beginning on Christmas Afternoon and continuing into the evening.

Over the past year we have enjoyed several big events. In Autumn 2005 we were thrilled to host a long weekend visit from the Archbishop of Canterbury, who visited Brussels to offer a Christian perspective on social and political issues facing the European Union. In the early summer of 2006, we welcomed the former Bishop of Durham, Michael Turnbull, to confirm some 25 adults and young people from the greater Brussels area. A little later we hosted a festival for choirs from across the Benelux countries.

We like to work co-operatively with other churches in Brussels wherever we can. For example, over this last year we partnered an inter-church Brussels Alpha course, shared with our Roman Catholic and Presbyterian friends. We also offered hospitality to “The Well” church in their “Serve the City campaign.
Over the year 2006/7, we plan to run The Holy Trinity Brompton Marriage Course in the autumn. At the end of October we shall be joining in the major, All Saints, Roman Catholic mission to the city of Brussels. And the weekend of March 9-11 2007 is booked as our annual church weekend at the La Foresta monastery near Leuven, with guest speaker Bishop John Pritchard.
