The Holy Trinity Weekend Away

12-14 March 2004

Fanning the Flame
with guest speaker Max Sinclair

Once again the Lord blessed us at what many of our folk felt was one of the best of our weekends away together. Max and Sue Sinclair’s testimony of much suffering and hardship born of Max’s serious road accident was woven into their message. Based on Elijah’s own experience of careful preparation (1 Kings 17), heady success (18) and subsequent failure and a fresh commission (19) Max and Sue demonstrated that the greatest of the O.T. prophets nevertheless seriously failed under pressure. They therefore enabled us to identify more closely with Elijah himself.

The weekend was extremely well organised. While we are so thankful to many people who worked so hard (administration, music, translation, entertainment, welcome, children’s activities and many others) our special thanks go once again to Heidi Fuehrmann whose organisation was quite superb and much appreciated by us all.

Max has written several books, writing frankly about his romance with his wife, Sue, marriage, parenthood, God's call to full-time Christian work and the serious car accident which left him partially paralysed. Max shows that the miracle of happier relationships is within the grasp of every Christian.

He gives two talks on "How to Learn Fast" and "How to succeed and fail spectacularly".

… and our own David White on “Catching Vision”

In addition, there are a range of activities and entertainment provided by members of Holy Trinity, including walks in the beautiful Ardennes countryside.
