Church Prayers for Holy Trinity written at La Foresta
Lord God,
We thank you for bringing Holy Trinity Brussels safely through the years and for protecting it from many storms. Holy Trinity has been called, like Noah, to provide a refuge and a welcome to many people of many different backgrounds. We rejoice in that diversity and thank you for giving us this precious opportunity to travel together, each with our own story, yet all part of the same journey.
We pray that you would give us hope as we continue on that journey. Fill our sails with the gentle breeze of your Holy Spirit to move us in the years to come.
Protect us from the storms which we know we will have to face. Above all we pray that we continue to share in love the space in which we travel together, and that our vessel remains robust and seaworthy.
We pray this in the hope and certainty of safely reaching the destination which you have set for us.
Heavenly Father,
in your grace and goodness you have given it to us to know yourself and one another in this church of Holy Trinity Brussels.
Thank you, Father, for the many blessings you have bestowed upon us, among which, especially the unity we experience in our diverse and active community, the sense of welcome we know and for our heritage of Christian witness.
Even as we thank you for our many blessings, so we put before you our requests:
Help us to help each other in our service of the church
Help us to discern our gifts
Help us to flourish in the midst of change
Help us to grow from adversity
Help us to be wise in our stewardship of resources
Help us to uphold before you and nurture our leaders of Holy Trinity
Help us to draw ever closer to you and inspire our desire for you
May we grow in holiness, bear fruit in service, provide refuge and welcome, and blossom in the light of your radiance.

Our heavenly Father and Lord of all,
Thank you for:
the different nations and cultures represented at Holy Trinity;
the beautiful music in all different styles;
the unique members of our church body with all their talents and gifts, that you have given them;
the time you have given each of us to use for your glory;
Christ, the head of the church, who is our common centre.
In your mercy and grace, we ask you to:
defend us from things that keep us away from offering our time to you;
help us to identify people in need and offer time and help to people around Holy Trinity;
defend us from indifference towards people's needs;
give us strength to live out the Christian faith, full of your Spirit in everything;
to live a life of holiness and to be a light in the city, that people in Belgium may see you;
help us to be intelligent and truthful in proclaiming Christ and his Lordship.
May Holy Trinity become a spiritual home for all people, a community that is pleasing to you in its fellowship and good works. In the name of Christ Jesus our Saviour

Thank you that you are continuously weaving us together, to form a colourful tapestry, where there is always room for more.
We pray that we may be a welcoming church, outward-looking, offering love and hospitality to all. Give us listening ears, to hear your word, and willing hands to put it into practice.
We are children of your light. May we fully learn what this means, and live it out!
