A warm welcome to all today especially if you are a visitor. We trust you enjoy your stay in Brussels and worship with us today. Please join us after the morning service for coffee and drinks in the side aisle. You are most welcome to stay around and talk. If you are new please make yourself known especially to the clergy; we would be grateful if you would fill in a card at the Welcome Table.

Prayer Meeting Our next Prayer meeting takes place tomorrow night (Monday) at 20.00 in Church House. The Council warmly welcomes members to join them. We shall focus prayer on our missionaries, the state of the world, our own ministry here and the mission in November with Michael Cassidy and others. We finish at 21.30
Bible Study for over 55s We resume our Home Group which runs from October to Easter on Wednesday 15 October at 238 Ave Parmentier. We warmly welcome newcomers to the fold. Call me if you would like further information.
The importance of regular Bible reading I am ever conscious of the importance of Bible reading if we are to grow in our faith. I plan to make another big effort this Autumn to encourage Bible reading. There are sample notes on the table at the back which please do not take away but browse during coffee after the services. Then if you would like to sign up today, next Sunday or the Sunday after we will order them for you price €5 each to last for three months. Peter Luson has kindly agreed to help me and will be available at the back of the church afterwards. I will be around after the 9.00 and 19.00 services to assist. Please pay the €5 when you order.
In addition to good notes it is important to have a good translation and, wherever possible, to invest in a Study Bible which offers background information, commentary and a concordance.
Counselling for the Mission Those who would like to train as Counsellors for the forthcoming mission in November should contact one of the clergy. The two training evenings are 7 and 21 October in Holy Trinity Church. Details about the evangelists coming to the mission are in a leaflet at the back of church.

Brass cleaner wanted! Would anyone be willing to join the sacristan team as a brass cleaner with the task of polishing the church brasses ever six weeks or so? If so, please phone Barbara Rundell on 02/762 11 43.
The Mission Focus for September is Muyebe School for Girls, Uganda. For the weekend of 27 and 28 September we have invited Jeff and Joy Realff (from Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, UK) to visit us. They have recently spent about 2 years at Muyebe as expatriate teachers and can therefore act as ambassadors from the school. You are warmly invited to come and meet them informally over a bring-and-share meal at 19.00 on the evening of Saturday 27 September (venue still to be decided). If you are interested in Uganda, Africa, mission projects overseas, education across the world, do come, and if you are not yet interested then you are particularly welcome. Please phone Mary Walker to give an idea of numbers (02/770 77 15).
The loose plate collections next Sunday will go to the School.
Centenary Renovation Project Site visit Sunday 28 September. The work on site is progressing at a good pace, and we are happy to announce that the architect and contractor will be on hand to take groups of up to 10 people at a time around the building site to see the work at this stage. The visits will be between 12.00 and 14.00. Please note however that it is a building site, and you enter at your own risk. It would be wise to wear sturdy shoes. This is a great opportunity for you to see how your money is being spent - and if you are new to our family here at Holy Trinity, to learn about this important project to develop the spiritual work of the Church here in Brussels.
