Holy Trinity Newsletter

23 May 2004

A warm welcome to all today especially if you are a visitor. We trust you enjoy your stay in Brussels and your worship with us today. Please join us after the morning service for coffee and drinks in the side aisle. You are most welcome to stay around and talk. If you are new please make yourself known especially to the clergy; we would be grateful if you would fill in a card at the Welcome Table.

A fully staffed crèche for babies up to 2 years old, is available during the 10.30 service over in Church House. If you would like to make use of it, an usher will show you where to go.

The flowers today are offered by Barbara Blackwell to the glory of God and in loving memory of her son Simon

CHAPLAIN’S NOTES

CRP. Every week now we move a little nearer to the completion of the CRP. Last Saturday for painting etc. next Saturday (29 May). Then there will be a need for a great deal of cleaning. Our request would be for every able bodied member to give one night each week for the next two weeks so that, by the 12 June, everything will be ready.

Finger Food request. See note elsewhere requesting as many people as possible to bring finger food on the morning of the opening. Carol Jones is kindly co-ordinating this.

Confirmation Service. Will you please let any of the clergy know as to whether you (or members of your family) would like to be confirmed. A Confirmation Service could be planned during the late Autumn.

Christianity Explored Course. The Christianity Explored course is now underway and will last until Tuesday 8th June (six weeks). This fourth week we examine the means of salvation. It is by grace and not by works. Church House Tuesday 20.00 finish 21.30

Whit weekend. Next weekend all my family, will gather with me in London to mark 50 years of Billy Graham campaigns in the UK. We shall meet at the Albert Hall and enjoy the All Souls Orchestra and see again members of the Billy Graham family and team.

Children’s and Youth Work at Holy Trinity In order to cope with the ever-expanding number of children and young people coming on a Sunday morning to Holy Trinity and the loss of some key leaders and helpers in the next few months we urgently need some new leaders and helpers.  The minimum commitment is one Sunday morning per month plus time spent for preparation and prayer. If extra leaders and helpers cannot be found then it is very possible that we will have to cancel some classes some weeks so please - HELP US OUT!! If you are at all interested and want to talk about it further then please e-mail Heather Roy on hjroy@yahoo.co.uk THANK YOU!
