Holy Trinity Newsletter

4 July 2004

A warm welcome to all today especially if you are a visitor. We trust you enjoy your stay in Brussels and your worship with us today. Please join us after the morning service for coffee and drinks down in the Hall. You are most welcome to stay around and talk. If you are new please make yourself known especially to the clergy; we would be grateful if you would fill in a card at the Welcome Table.

A fully staffed crèche for babies up to 2 years old, is available during the 10.30 service in the Charles Le Jeune Centre. If you would like to make use of it, an usher will show you where to go.

The flowers THIS WEEK are offered in loving memory of

James C. Ayres and Joe Teirlynck

The mission focus for July is Sarah P. and the work she does through InterServe in the Middle East. The loose plate collections at all four services on the 11th will go towards Sarah's support. If you cannot be present on the 11th but would like to support Sarah, please place your gift in an envelope, clearly marked for Sarah, before the end of the month. Sarah will be sharing with us her experiences from her first year in the Middle East, where she has been working in a school for deaf children and building relations in the local Palestinian refugee camps at the 10.30 and 19.00 services on 11 July.

INFORMATION

Use of church buildings – please inform Vicki at Church office of any regular activity you need church premises for before Wednesday 7 July. No keys will be made available for unconfirmed groups and meetings.

Still needed - urgently! A few more volunteers to help with the weekly translation into French of Holy Trinity’s Newsletter. This requires a regular but only occasional commitment. If you are interested and a good French speaker, please contact Vicki at Church Office.

Dyslexia International Tools and Technologies (DITT) - non-profit organisation seeks both interns and volunteers to help with administering promotion, distribution and web development for an exciting new project: a CD ROM produced by BBC for DITT. Essential: computer skills, English and some French. Please contact 02 537 70 66

Traditional Christian schooling A family who worship at Holy Trinity's traditional service would be pleased to hear if there are any other families in the Brussels area with Primary (and Kindergarten) aged children who might be interested in a private Christian schooling project, where children would be taught together in a church hall once a week by a qualified teacher and at home the rest of the week by their parents. The programme would be based on the serious learning of the Holy Scriptures, together with traditional Church teachings and hymns, other subjects like language and maths following on from that. Theoretically this could start in September if there were enough interest, but this is only an initial enquiry. If interested please contact James on eliane_pitts@yahoo.com (02/453 95 63).

Flowers every Sunday can be offered in memory of loved ones. Total contributions or part payment of the weekend's flowers’ costs are welcome. Please contact Sue Cox on 02 767 29 11.

The Prayer Chain welcomes requests for prayer for any situation with complete
confidentiality. Please pass your request to Sue Cox 02 767 29 11 or cottoncox@hotmail.com or to Jennifer Le Jeune
