A warm welcome to all today especially if you are a visitor. We trust you enjoy your stay in Brussels and your worship with us today. Please join us after the morning service for coffee and drinks down in the Hall. You are most welcome to stay around and talk. If you are new please make yourself known especially to the clergy; we would be grateful if you would fill in a card at the Welcome Table.

A fully staffed crèche for babies up to 2 years old, is available during the 10.30 service in the Charles Le Jeune Centre. If you would like to make use of it, an usher will show you where it is located.

The Mission Focus for September is Muyebe Girls School, Uganda.  The loose plate collections at all four services on Sunday 19 September will go towards Muyebe.  If you would like to support Muyebe and know you will not be at church on the 19th, you can place your gift in an envelope, clearly marked Muyebe, on 12 or 26 September.

CHAPLAIN’S NOTES

The new programme is now available in the foyer. Please make sure you have a copy. Reading the Scripture readings prior to the start of the service will help you to prepare for worship Sunday by Sunday. Also available is the current ICS News which features Belgium in general and Brussels in particular.

The Mackenzie Bar will open on Sunday 12 September and be available from then on. Please try and stay behind after the services for coffee and drinks: it enables us all to get to know one another better. Fellowship is a follow up of worship.

I am now living temporarily in Uccle. Please note my home telephone number is 02/375 68 91.

Morning Bible study for women  10.00 - 11.45 starting on Tuesday 14 September. We meet in Holy Trinity Church House Flat, 29 Rue Capitaine Crespel, Ixelles. We will be studying Philippians with a study entitled RUN THE RACE, by Bill Hybels.  "Life as a follower of Christ is not a fifty-yard dash.  It's a marathon.  God offers strength for the race, cold water to quench our thirst, and fresh legs when we grow weary.  We never run alone." All women welcome at any age or stage.  We also offer a crèche for little ones under school or maternelle age.  New babies are welcome in the study with us!  Come and enjoy fellowship, study and support.  A small charge is made for the study book. 10.00 and over by 11.45. INFORMATION

Help! On 3 October 8 people are coming from Liverpool to the 10.30 service. They want to learn about Anglicans in Brussels. The service will tell them a lot but lunch afterwards with members of the congregation would probably inform them even more. Can you take a Liverpudlian or two to lunch on that day? Please contact Paulina on 02/375 23 20 or cancerhelp@tiscali.be

Did you know that the INNO car park is accessible to members of Holy Trinity on Sunday mornings from approximately 10.15 to 13.00? Using this facility frees up spaces on the street for visitors and can also avoid unpleasant surprises. The local traffic wardens have recently been very conscientious in their duties. Council has decided that the charge for the use of the car park should be €2 as from the beginning of September.

Peter Arthern is at present working on a short history of the Centenary Renovation Project, its origins, how the plans evolved and crystallised and how the work progressed, with all its vicissitudes. If you have any ideas for special highlights or angles which you think should feature in the narrative, please convey them to Peter, with any supporting documentation, via Simon Robbins in the Church Office.

Be alert! Parents of little children would be most grateful if anyone who sees the door to the platform lift open during services would be kind enough to close it when the lift is not in use, as the barrier is not sufficient to prevent toddlers from having a nasty fall. We are reviewing the options to make this safer.

Free of charge! 3-seater sofa bed, mainly green with coloured diamond pattern available for collection now. If you are interested, please contact Norma on 02/640 23 17.

Flowers every Sunday can be offered in memory of loved ones. Total contributions or part payment of the weekend's flowers’ costs are welcome. Please contact Sue Cox on 02/767 29 11.

The Prayer Chain welcomes requests for prayer for any situation with complete
confidentiality. Please pass your request to Sue Cox 02/767 29 11 or cottoncox@hotmail.com or to Jennifer Le Jeune
010/61 48 85.
