A new stained glass window has been donated to Holy Trinity for the main gable window.
The Belgian artist, Etienne Tribolet, was commissioned to design and execute the work, and he has been preparing the stained glass in his studio for a number of months. In mid-November 2002, Etienne started to place the window in-situ with the help of his wife, Sabine.
The photos on this page show the two of them working high on the scaffold to remove the existing glazing, prepare the openings, and place the new window, panel by panel. Each week over a three-week period, the congregations of Holy Trinity were treated to the spectacle of the evolving design.
The first phase of the window is now complete, and was inaugurated at a special service on 12th January 2003.
