On May 4th 2008 Gary was licensed as the Church of England Representative to the EU and Associate Chaplain at Holy Trinity. He is husband to Gillian [currently Chaplaincy Team Leader at the Sheffield Childrens Hospital] and father to Alex (14) and Simeon (11).
Having served in two parishes in the south west of England, Gary has spent the last 10 years in theological education, first at Church Army’s college in Sheffield and most recently at York St John University. Gary is passionate about enabling others to make connections between Sundays and the rest of the week. For him theology is about making sense of the whole of life in relationship to God.
He is currently completing terms of office as a member of the Northern Regional Board of the Co-operative Group Ltd (The largest democratically owned, ethically guided retail organisation in the world) and as Durham University’s External Examiner to the North East Ordinations Course.
As a family the Wiltons enjoy new adventures, good food and making friends.
