Hon. Assistant Chaplain
Reverend Prof. James Day

James and his family returned to HTB in 2007, after training for ordination at Westcott House, and Divinity Faculty, Cambridge, serving his curacy at St. Boniface, Antwerp, and The English Church, Oostende.

James serves in a non-stipendiary capacity at Holy Trinity, as he is also Professor of Psychology at the Université catholique de Louvain, and a clinical psychologist in private practice at PsyGroup, Brussels. At the University, James is the official Anglican representative, and co-founded the Spiritualite et Vie project, Louvain's first ecumenical, and inter-religious, campus ministry project. James has represented the Anglican Communion in the media, in Belgium, and for five years has been Visiting Preacher in The Memorial Church at Harvard University.

James' wife Birte is a policy analyst at NORMAPME, teaches religion in the European School of Brussels, Woluwe, and is a certified swimming, baby massage, and yoga instructor.  James' children are Julia, Jonathan, and Jacob.
