Robert read engineering at Cambridge and worked in electricity generation and then business consultancy before training for ordination at Cranmer Hall Durham. He completed a doctorate in theology and was ordained in 1995. He worked in a variety of County Durham parishes as well as teaching Anglican, Methodist and Catholic theological students and university undergraduates. Robert is married to Helen and they have four children: Ruth (18), Rebecca (16), James (13) and Philippa (11). The family came to Brussels in 2005. They love the international atmosphere, extensive forests, and delicious food and drink! In January 2008 Robert was made the head of the Anglican Church in Belgium, as chairman of its Central Committee. He keeps a toe-hold in the academic world as chairman of the Christian publishing company, Grove Books. Robert and Helen are committed to developing Holy Trinity as a spiritual home for people of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities.
